The Powerful Voice of Consumers

on Wednesday, 24 March 2010. Posted in Worship

The CD is moving forward each week, even during the Easter Season. I have 2 more lead vocals to record, which means that by next week I should be finished recording.

Pastor Mike and I have been talking about what organization we feel is the right one to partner with for the project.

The album artwork and liner notes are being designed and written day by day, week by week and are almost completed.

Every week Brian Kimball and I mixdown a couple songs to get them ready for the mastering process.

I APPRECIATE YOUR PRAYERS AS WE TURN THE CORNER TO THE HOME STRETCH! Please pray with me that God would use the project to free slaves, inspire the listener, and to glorify His Name!

What else can we do...

One of the things we can do to help fight against modern day slavery relates to our role as consumers. Like a choir singing in sweet harmony, our voice as consumers can have a powerful impact on those companies who choose to use slavery, either directly or indirectly. I have stumbled upon a website that keeps track of companies that have forced labor in the production chain. It may take a little time to investigate, but it is worth it to know that your money is not going to reinforce slavery.
